When we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and make us clean, we are now blessed to be children of God and chosen by the One True God. God chose us as His own before the foundations of the world. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us, we are adopted as sons or daughters of the King. We can be confident that we are chosen and loved by Him. God’s grace bestowed on us makes us holy, even though we don’t deserve it. What a blessing that is! Even though we were wretched, God saved us—and one day we will receive a crown of righteousness. There is no greater blessing than this! God sent His only Son from His heavenly home to die for us. We are blessed to be able to inherit the future Kingdom of God. When we accept Jesus as our personal Savior—believing in His life, death, and resurrection—we will be filled with His Holy Spirit and enabled to live an abundant life.
