This Is the Day

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. –Psalm 118:24 ESV

Sometimes, without doubt, we can go through the most agonizing, tumultuous, heart-wrenching days. Our day can be so awful that it feels like we can hardly catch our breath. Ah! But then we remember our Savior and call out to Jesus—our awesome Friend who has promised to never leave us or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). Then we feel His loving arms embrace us, and we are able to breathe and let go. Jesus whispers to us, “This is the day, my child, for your physical healing, addiction healing, emotional healing, and healing for your pain.” My friend, our God is a personal God. As we wake up in the morning, let not the cares of this day overcome us; let us reflect on the wonderful blessings He gives us daily. As we rise up in the morning, let us lay all of our cares at His feet and then proclaim with a loud voice, “This is the day [my day] that the Lord has made; let us [me] rejoice and be glad in it.” His magnificence and His power to heal will then surround us.

Lord, help us to come before You with tender and humble hearts when we bow down before Your throne with all our cares today.

Holy Spirit, please guide me and strengthen me until my healing is made complete.
