So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. –Romans 8:1 NLT
There are times when believers are plagued with feelings of fear and guilt. Satan can twist our emotions and imprison us. But that is not what God has ever intended. He did not send His Son into this world to accuse or condemn us. Jesus went to the Cross and took our place. There is nothing stronger than the blood Jesus shed for us. He came to restore our souls so that through Him, we can become righteous before God. God didn't expect perfection; that's precisely why He sent Jesus. God is greater than any other power or authority; and we have His spirit within us. We are chosen and loved by God. We need to learn to recognize His presence in our lives and to seek Him daily. John 8:36 (NIV) tells us, “So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” When we view things from God's perspective, fear and guilt fade away. They have no place in a believer’s life. Remember the words spoken to the Lord in Psalm 56:3 (NIV), “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” The Lord draws near to those who seek after Him. We can walk in freedom and light because we belong to God.
Thank You, Lord, that Your spirit is within me.
Lord, I am a work in progress, and I know that You are not finished with me yet. Please shape me into the person You want me to be.
