He’s Thinking about You

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand- when I awake, I am still with you. –Psalm 139:17-18 NIV

Have you ever wondered if God really cares about you? Have you had times in your life where you questioned where God was and why He wasn’t answering your prayers? Has it ever felt as though the heavens were closed and that your prayers weren’t progressing any higher than the ceiling? The truth is that what we feel and what we believe can be two entirely different things. When we live by our feelings, we are walking by sight, allowing current circumstances to overshadow the truth. In contrast, when we live by faith, our confidence is unshakable as we trust in the omnipotent, all-knowing God who loves us with unfathomable love. In Psalm 139:17-18 (GW), King David marvels that God’s thoughts concerning us are “more than there are grains of sand…” How much sand is that? Dr. Jason Marshall, aka the Math Dude, has discovered that there are 700 trillion cubic meters of sand on the earth. That is equivalent to 5 sextillion grains of sand. It is incredible to consider that God’s thoughts about us are even greater! Whether we are asleep or awake, His thoughts and His presence are always with us. He never leaves us, nor does He ever stop thinking about us. He loves us, and He’s listening. So, we must stop allowing our feelings to dictate our faith.

prayer focuses

Lord, I believe Your Word, and I stand on Your promises. Thank You for Your unlimited love for me.

Lord, may the sand on the beach cry out to my soul how very much I am thought about and loved by You.
