The Master Craftsman

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. –Isaiah 41:10 NIV

Many things happen in today’s world that we don’t understand—from school shootings to attacks on innocent people at concerts. The news is a constant unraveling of evil. Many hurts and pains from our past also try to haunt us. At times, the future may seem uncertain, daunting, and sometimes even downright terrifying. We live in a broken world; it rocks and reels on its axis under the strain of a creation longing to be redeemed. But…we don’t have to be controlled by those hurts, fears, pains, or uncertainties. Trusting God each new day should be our focus. We can’t undo the past and can’t predict the future, but we can live today confident that God is in control. We are alive, we are blessed, and we are carved in the palm of our Father’s hand. Because He is for us, who can be against us? The world may be broken, but the Master Craftsman can keep us in perfect peace. Regardless of the chaos around us, God is always in control. We don’t have to worry because we know that He holds the future and will always be there for us.
