He’s in the Waiting

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. –Psalm 27:14 NIV

You’ve been waiting for what seems like an eternity for something to happen, but it hasn’t. God’s in the waiting. You’ve prayed for someone’s dire situation to change, but see no progress. He’s in the waiting. You’re discouraged because it seems like the world has run amok, and fear rules the day. He’s in the waiting. No one likes to wait. The word “wait” is often considered a bad four-letter word. It can feel like we’re hamsters on a wheel going nowhere. But…it’s in the waiting where we learn to trust. In the waiting, our faith is stretched, our character is developed, and our maturity nurtured. It’s where the rubber meets the road. Whatever is driving you crazy while you wait, take the time to learn from the journey. Just like a vacation, often the planning, waiting, and journey to get there are the best parts of the experience. God’s never late; He knows how long it will take us to reach the heights He has for us to climb. He has more confidence in us than we do in ourselves, and He knows the beginning from the end. So relax, He’s in the waiting.
