Exclaim His Goodness

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. –Psalm 27:13 NIV

How is your life punctuated? Is it mainly characterized by a question mark? Have the disappointments, fears, frustrations, stresses, and troubles left you constantly asking, “How can I?” Or is your life more like an exclamation point? Does it make a bold statement with each hurdle as you proclaim, “Yes, I can!”?

Life is filled with situations meant to overwhelm each of us. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10 NIV). But the last half of that same scripture says that Christ came to give us life, and life more abundant. Satan would love for our lives to be question marks. He would love for us to doubt not only God’s promises but His very existence. Yet, we were created in God’s image, and God never doubts anything. We may not understand the things we’re going through, but we can still stand tall and boldly proclaim, “My God is able!” Psalm 55:22 (NIV) says, “Cast your cares upon the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” So, let’s live like exclamation points, not question marks, and rejoice! For anyone who lives in Christ, there is no period at the end of this life…

prayer focuses

Father, help me to boldly proclaim Your goodness. You ARE able!

Thank You, Lord, that I can cast my cares on You.
