Chosen to Lead?

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. …As a result, you can show others the goodness of God…. –1 Peter 2:9 NLT

According to a teaching at Bayside Community Church, a fanatic is a “fan with attitude.” In order to stand out in the crowd, our attitude should be that of a Jesus follower—NOT as a jerk, a know-it-all, or a hater. God says people will know that we are His followers by our love.
Jesus followers are people who recognize their call, which is to love God and love others. How might that look in your life? Are you a foodie? Great! Make beautiful, wonderful meals that bring glory to God! Are you a fitness fan? Great! Run or jump or dance in ways that bring Him glory! Are you an introvert? Great! Quietly touch one person after another in Jesus’ name!
Maybe you’ve got one of the biggest voices in the world. Bring Him glory in the shouts and praises that come out of your mouth!

Dear friend, whether or not you realize it, our Lord has called you to live every minute of every day as a Jesus follower and as a leader! So, who are you currently leading to Jesus?

Let’s do it together!

prayer focuses

Thank God for calling you to lead according to how He’s wired you!

Ask the Lord for wisdom about how best you can lead people to Jesus.
