Day 317: Even the Bad Days Count

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. –1 Peter 4:8 NIV

I’m not sure what’s sadder, someone with so much love to give and no one to give it to, or someone who is given unconditional love and doesn’t appreciate it. We meet people all the time who would give anything to have someone in their lives to share things with. Then, on the flip side, we see people who continually gripe about someone who does everything possible to make them happy. They’re never satisfied. None of us are perfect, and no one can “make” us happy because happiness comes from within. People just add the cherry to the top of the sundae. If only we could appreciate what we have, who we are, and what we’re given. Even on the days when nothing goes right, we are so blessed. So, reach out in love to those who are lonely. Appreciate, with the deepest heartfelt joy, the love you’re given, and stop waiting for perfection here on earth. This life is so temporary—don’t waste, don’t miss, and don’t lose one minute of the joy you are given. Today is an amazing day to make the best of everything. We’ll never get another chance to do this day over again, enjoy it all.

Psalm 119:105 (NIV) tells us, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

” God promises us in His Holy Word to be with us in the ups and downs of life.
