The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. –Psalm 119:130 NKJV
There are many stories in the Bible about angels, prophets, and Jesus telling us to not walk in fear. The greatest tool the enemy of this world uses against us is that we should be afraid of this or that. It could be a diagnosis, a promotion, sickness, or anything that is unknown and unseen in the dark. That is why Jesus is the Light. In darkness we fear what we cannot see. That is what the enemy wants us to focus on. In Jesus we have the Light of the world. In Him there are no shadows. When you have the Light, you can see the way to go and there is nothing to be afraid of. Whatever lies ahead will be illuminated. The way through, around, under, or over our problems are exposed in His Light. How do we find the light of Christ? We need a guidebook. And we have one! To walk with Jesus is to read His Word, the Bible. In it we can come to a place where we let go of our own power and give it to the One who has the power to overcome. In Jesus’ name, there is no need to be afraid ever again!
Father, thank You for Your Son, Jesus.
Thank You that through Your Word you pull me from the darkness into the Light and out of fear. Father, draw me close to You that I may know Your peace in my time of need. My fear is gone in the mighty name of Jesus.
