Give Your Burdens to God

Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. –Matthew 11:28 NIV

Have you been experiencing restless nights? Having difficulties getting out of bed? Do thoughts bombard you regarding an illness, a rebellious child, financial difficulties, divorce, loss of a loved one, etc.? Life can become overwhelming. However, with God you can make it through every challenge. The enemy of your soul would like nothing better than to see you suffer with anxiety and stress. Don’t let fear take away your peace. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NLV), “We break down every thought and the proud thing that puts itself up against the wisdom of God. We take hold of every thought and make it obey Christ.” Learn to speak God’s Words over your circumstances. Take your eyes off the situation and look up to God who can handle every burden weighing on your heart. You can tell God anything and trust that He can perfect it all. When challenging times come your way, profess, “I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13 NLT). God the Father will do for you what only He can do. Believe in His Word, stand on His promises, and trust your entire life to His care. When you bring your burdens to the Lord and leave them with Him, you’ll be encouraged to carry onward!
