…He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and…brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. –2 Corinthians 1:4 MSG
You probably have a toolbox. Each tool’s usefulness is maximized when used properly. Through your walk with Christ, you have inherited a spiritual toolbox. You acquire a variety of devices through your experiences to deal with the challenges of life. Later, these tools are purposed for helping others walk through their trials.
A tool is made for a specific purpose. For example, you could use a wrench to pound in a nail, but a hammer is better suited. God has gifted you with certain tools that are perfect for specific jobs. He brings people into your life who need the tools that you have. He may also bring people to you who are equipped with gifts that He wants to see developed in you.
Whether you’re walking through your own hard times, or walking others through theirs, don’t lose heart. Remember that God is not the author of these times; but He will use all things for your good and His glory.
Thank God for continuously walking you through life’s challenges.
Ask God to help you to use each victory as a testimony.
