I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. –John 16:33 NLT
Does it seem that everyone has reacted differently to the pandemic? During the spring when schools were closed, the young kids thought they were on vacation. Teenagers were in a strange place apart from friends. Parents were school teachers, in addition to preparing meals and trying to keep peace between siblings. Grandparents had to accept that they couldn’t see their families as often. Some people ignored the news reports while others listened constantly and were fearful. The one thing everyone can probably agree on—social distancing proved to be a lot harder than expected.During stressful or frustrating times, we can take time to seek a deeper faith, a deeper knowledge, and a deeper intimacy with God. The enemy wants to pull us away from God and have us live with anxiety and stress—no matter our age. Yet, this is not what God tells us in Psalm 46:1-2 (NIV), “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.” Don’t let the enemy overwhelm you—with God’s help, you will overcome all challenges.
Thank You that no situation is too far out of Your control.
You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides, and I will put my trust in You.
