God is Great!

But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “God is great!” –Psalm 70:4 NLT

Make America Great Again (MAGA) was a political phrase used by Ronald Reagan, and it was revived decades later in another presidential election. The slogan endures as many are committed to strengthening our country in many ways.

Christians know that no person has the power to revive, restore, and “Make America Great Again.” God is the only One who can truly turn things around. Without His help and intervention, it’s an impossible mission to achieve fully.

When we, God’s people, seek to keep Him great in our hearts, homes, homeland, and in the hope of Christ’s return, then God can work on behalf of our country for the betterment of all nationalities and nations.

We need not worry if the promise to MAGA doesn’t come to fulfillment. This is not our permanent residence; we are on a pilgrimage to our eternal homeland. The Word of God says, “But we look forward to what God has promised—a new heaven and a new earth—a place where everything that has God’s approval lives” (2 Peter 3:13 GW). Always remember, it is God who is great!

prayer focuses

With shouts of joy and gladness, let God know of His greatness. Ask Him to bring revival, starting with His people.

Pray that the Holy Spirit would help you to always trust in God and honor Him in all that you do, say, and think.
