So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. –2 Corinthians 4:16 ESV
God is bigger than any circumstance, whether it be a disease, a broken relationship, a financial failure, a natural disaster, or anything. God wants us to stop striving and instead—surrender to Him. Although it’s easy to forget, it is His will that we are to desire, not our own. God cares so much about every detail of our lives. He carries the burdens we’ve handed Him, even while we are sleeping. We can be renewed each and every day by doing life with God.
He is a relational God. He is not merely a task on a to-do list. If we’re not careful, we can easily start compartmentalizing God, giving him time slots, instead of having a moment-by-moment relationship with Him. As continuous fellowship with God becomes part of our daily rhythm, and we put Him first in every area of our lives, our burdens get smaller. We become more Spirit-led and less flesh-led.
Father, thank You for having good plans for my life. Please help me to keep You as the foundation in every area of my life.
Abba, thank You for this new day. Please help me to crave You and seek You each and every day, moment by moment.
