God’s love for us is forever and unchanging—no matter how we mess up. His love for us is unfailing. He will always love You. Me. Everyone. Knowing that God is real and that he loves us should put an end to self-pity and blame. God loves us despite our mistakes. Instead of thinking about our flawed past, we can view our lives through the eyes of God. Our sins are not only forgiven and forgotten, but they have not diminished His love for us as well.Experiences with failed human love can make it is easy to struggle with the idea that God will love us no matter what. Take heart. The term “unconditional love” is just that…God’s love is there regardless of our mistakes. Because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, He even loves us when we mess up. God does not love sin, but He has always loved us—the sinners.The love of Jesus “covers a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8 NLT). Our sins are washed away by His blood; and if that wasn’t good enough, He still loves us despite those sins.
