God is my strength, God is my song, and, yes! God is my salvation. This is the kind of God I have and I’m telling the world! This is the God of my father—I’m spreading the news far and wide! –Exodus 15:2 MSG
So many verses in the Bible talk about God being our Song and Salvation including Isaiah 12:2, Psalm 89:1, and Psalm 118:14. The Lord is the giver of our songs. Just knowing that the Lord loves and cares for us should make us want to sing. Doesn’t it make you happy to worship? The joy of the Lord wells up in us, and we feel complete with Him when we sing out. God gives us a peace about our current situation and then the outlook on our lives is an extension of His mercy and grace that He has given us.
It should also make you happy and want to sing when you touch someone else’s life with your lovingkindness and show how much you care. Knowing God as our song and expressing our love for Him by singing out is one of the ways we can show our appreciation to our Lord and Savior.
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord and show Him how grateful you are for all He does and will do in your life! Remember, He is the Creator of your joy!
Sing unto the Lord; it will make you happy—acknowledge how much He loves you as His son or daughter.
I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. –Psalm 104:33 NIV
