Impossible Mission

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” –Jeremiah 1:4-5 NIV

You have a mission, if you choose to accept it… The first chapter in Jeremiah reads like a secret mission being given to a special agent. God chooses Jeremiah. He has His eye on him since before his birth. God has set him apart for a mission that is just perfect for Jeremiah alone. While Jeremiah may think that he is too young or too insignificant, God thinks he is the right guy for the job.

Jeremiah’s mission: To speak truth to God’s chosen people.

Just like a special agent is equipped by the agency he works for, God promises to equip Jeremiah with the tools he needs to accomplish this mission. What’s your seemingly impossible mission? God will equip you for the work that He has selected especially for you!

Jesus, help me to rely on You instead of relying on my own strength! Remind me to use the tools You have given me to do this work!

Lord, align me with Your purpose.
