Throughout the United States of America, Memorial Day is a day for us to pause from life’s happenings, so we can bring remembrance and honor to those who served, fought, gave, and continue to give up their lives on behalf of this nation and for our freedom and protection. Thus, may we all pause and give honorable thanks to those who have and are serving this country and its people so all can enjoy life and liberty while on Earth. There’s another man, Christ Jesus—through His blood, sweat, and tears—who deserves remembrance and honor for giving up His life for all humanity. Jesus brought forth the new covenant between God and people. A treaty established by the shedding of His blood, which was poured out as a sacrifice for you, me, and all mankind, so we can enjoy everlasting life with God and other believers. Pause and give thanks to the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (see John 14:6). Thank God that He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
