Joy in Christ

A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired. –Proverbs 17:22 MSG

The Lord offers more joy than anything found in this world. Money, job security, and friends could quickly fade away. They do not provide true security. This world and everything in it will eventually pass away. The only One who is constant is the King of kings.Matthew 6:25-27 (NLT) says, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?” True joy is different from worldly joy. In Him there is joy. Whatever the situation may be, you can still feel blessed. Look at what you do have, not what you think you lack. Everyone is special to our Lord. Your name is imprinted in the palms of His hands. Life can be hard, but our true joy and hope is not found in this world.

Joy of the Lord is your strength.

No matter what is taking place in your life, it is only temporary—endless joy awaits you in eternity.
