Living a Christian Life

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. –Philippians 3:14 NIV

Living Christian lives can sometimes be difficult, as our days are filled with obstacles and temptations. We must rely on the Lord—trusting Him with our whole hearts. As we give over control to God, we find peace. We cannot depend on our own understanding. Our strength is in the Lord.

When hardships and disappointments come, the Lord is aware and understands every thought and every plan that we have in mind. In studying God’s Word, we learn His character and promises which deepen our understanding of His greatness, power, and ability to help. In all of our seasons of life, God is with us. And, we can take heart knowing that He will never leave us. He tells us in John 16:33 (NLT), “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Each of us is on our way toward our final reward. And as Christians, we are confident that the reward is eternal life, where our Lord will wipe every tear and there will be no more sorrow.
