Day 249: No Fear or Guilt

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. –Romans 8:1 NLT

There are times when believers are plagued with feelings of fear and guilt. Satan can twist our emotions and imprison us. That is not what God ever intended. He did not send His Son to come into this world to accuse or condemn us. Jesus went to the Cross and took our place. There is nothing stronger than the blood Jesus shed for us. He came to restore our souls so that through Him, we can become righteous before God.We need to learn to recognize His presence in our lives and seek Him daily. John 8:36 (NIV) tells us, “So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” It is a daily battle. When we learn to see things from God’s perspective, fear and guilt disappear. God is greater than any other power or authority. We have His spirit within us. We can walk in freedom and light when we belong to Him. He draws near to those who seek after Him. We are chosen and loved by God. Fear and guilt have no place in a believer’s life. Remember the words found in Psalm 56:3 (NIV), “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

prayer focuses

God never expected perfection—that’s why He sent Jesus.

Thank Him for sending Jesus so that one day we can be perfect as well! You are a work in progress, and God is not finished yet. Seek God’s help in shaping you to be the person He wants you to be.
