Purpose Through Pain

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. –Psalm 34:18 NLT

Some years are harder than others. As we reflect upon the most difficult times, we come to realize that nothing remains the same in this world—things change. Some changes are for the better, while others aren’t. Life brings both joys and sorrows. No one escapes—eventually everyone has a turn to experience both.

However, there is Someone who holds all the broken pieces together—Jesus. The One who gives us purpose through the pain and guides us through is the One who came into this dark world to set us free. Our trials in this life are temporary, as we have a lasting hope in Jesus. We can always trust Him. Even when we can’t find our way and the struggles seem to overwhelm us, He is still there. Our Lord Jesus tells us that He will carry us through the storms, never leaving us to navigate alone. He will direct our footsteps. He is our Rock and solid Foundation—the Light that shines through us. Jesus, our King of Kings, is always with us. He is in control, and we are never forgotten.
