Rejoice in Him

…let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore! –Psalm 105:3-4 NKJV

What is it to rejoice? Is it not just being happy and content with our current situation? To rejoice is actually to be full of joy—joy that makes us want to leap and jump and shout with exuberance! We have the Creator who has given us life in its abundance, who loves us without measure—loves us just as we are. Let our hearts seek the face of our majestic Savior for His strength and power, so He can empower us to overcome the schemes of the enemy and live in complete victory. The Lord urges us to seek His face (Psalm 27:8), to desire Him, and to yearn for His continual presence. His face will shine upon us, and we can walk in confidence with our heads held up high because we are children of the living God. Throughout our day, let’s rejoice so that this hurting world can see what it is to be children of King Jesus. Let them see what a powerful, loving, and wonderful Savior He is. Hallelujah and amen.
