“Return to me,” declares the Lord Almighty, “and I will return to you” –Zechariah 1:3 NIV
As a Christian, you could still be living your life outside of God’s will, feeling far away from Him. But He is always with you. He promises to never leave you nor forsake you.
Psalm 139:7-8 (NIV) says, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” The Lord is near and will meet sin with mercy. “God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him” (2 Chronicles 30:9b).
So, do not flee from the Lord. He has your best interests at heart. Hold on to the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Don’t run from the Lord—rather, run to Him!
Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with a deep need for the Lord’s presence in your life.
Thank God for His mercy, grace, love, and presence in your life.
