Say, "Cheese!"

Have you seen the Pinterest pin that says, “Life is like a camera: Focus on what is important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t work out, take another shot”? Isn’t this caption insightful regarding life?

Our life with God is an assortment of mountaintop experiences as well as unpleasant valley lows. The best way to handle the ups and downs is to be grateful when things are going well and to develop faith in God and inner strength when challenging times arise. Keep in mind that whether you’re in the darkroom or in the light of day, God keeps watch over you.

Through your journey of life, do your best to keep your focus on God and allow His Spirit to develop you for the better. In the process of each day, be still, smile, and say, “Cheese!” Then God can take snapshots and create a beautiful collage of your life. When you pray to the Lord, may He smile on you and bless you. When you mess up, fess up, and carry on with God. Let Him have the opportunity to capture and PIN additional pictures to the family album He’s creating.

Barbara was a wife, mother, and grandma who sought to love the LORD with all her heart, soul & strength. She has authored several books for adults and children. She has enjoyed mentoring other writers and seeing them turn their manuscripts into published masterpieces for God's glory. She believed that every person has a God-story within them to be told and shared. Barbara passed away peacefully in November 2023, but Bayside continues to remember and honor her legacy by sharing devotionals written by her in order to inspire and encourage others.
