God’s a safe-house for the battered, a sanctuary during bad times. –Psalm 9:9 MSG
Some days you just feel exhausted and worn. You may even be ready to give up. It might feel like it’s hard to go on. You have to push yourself to get through the day. The enemy seems to be filling you with his lies—telling you that you are alone and things will never get better. Life is hard, and you can feel beaten down.Yet, when these feelings come, choose to remain faithful even during your most difficult times. Don’t give in to weariness and discontentment. You are not alone and never will be. God won’t let go of you. He will fight for you. It won’t be easy, but God says in His Word that the battle is His. Ephesians 6:12 (NIV) says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” The battle may feel intense but “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1 NIV). Whatever you are up against, He will fight for you.
Lord, fill me with the power of Your Holy Spirit today.
I praise You! Thank You that You are with me, and I am never alone.
