Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. –Mark 1:35 NIV
We live in a world filled with jam-packed schedules and seemingly little time for what is most important. Being preoccupied with so many things, we often forget to spend time with Jesus. We were created to have a relationship with Him; but He sometimes becomes a low priority on our everyday agenda. We don’t intentionally want this to happen; yet it occurs more often than we would like to admit. So, how can we find Christ in our busyness? One way is to schedule time to be still—quiet time alone with God, before starting the day’s routine. Prior to getting that first phone call, we ought to take time—even if it is only 5 minutes—to fellowship with the Lord. Sharing our concerns with Him and listening for His guidance can change the whole direction of the day. Even our outlook will be impacted: crowds may seem less combative, we may have a little more patience while waiting in lines, and traffic may not seem quite as bad.All things are possible when we stop, spend time with God, and ask Him to order our day.
Thank God that He is never too busy to hear from you each day.
