At times it may seem as though everywhere we turn, bad news pops up. In such circumstances, it is common to feel anxious, worried, overwhelmed, or just out of control. When everything appears to be falling apart around us, how do we continue to seek Christ? The answer can be found in the Word of God. Here, we can find restoration and true peace. There is no one more able and willing than our Savior to calm our spirits. We must turn to Scripture and put our confidence in His Word:  

• Psalm 56:3 NIV – “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
• Psalm 34:18 NIV – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
• 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV – “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
• Psalm 29:11 NIV – “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”
• Joshua 1:9 NIV – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” 

The Lord will be our strength as we let Him guide us and bring us peace.
