Your God-Appointment Time

In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. –Psalm 5:3 NIV

Do you know that a few minutes of morning prayer has the power to change the course of your day? If you don’t have time to chat with God at daybreak, you’re skipping your most valuable appointment. When you overlook spending time with God—in His Word, in prayer, and in spirit—you’re essentially forfeiting the blessings and opportunities God has in store for you.

God’s Word says we don’t have because we don’t ask (James 4:2 NIV). If we want God’s best for our lives, we must be diligent in spending time with Him. When we put God first, taking our focus off of the commotions of the world, the busyness of the flesh, and the distractions from the enemy, He holds nothing back. We must faithfully seek the Lord’s face, His will, and His holy ways.

Before rushing into the day, allocate some quiet time with God and listen to what He has to say. When you seek God first, your day will be better and brighter. When you make God your first appointment, your day will be filled with His blessings of provision, protection, and soul prosperity.
