Soon I will die, going the way of everything on earth. Deep in your hearts you know that every promise of the Lord your God has come true. Not a single one has failed! –Joshua 23:14 NLT
Broken promises by others may lead us to question whether or not God will come through on His promises to us. We need not fear. Throughout the Bible, God has always kept His promises to His people. God is still a promise keeper. The following are a few promises He has offered us.
- We can give all our cares to God because He cares about us (1 Peter 5:7).
- God will direct our paths as we trust in Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).
- We will receive a great harvest at the right time if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
- “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28 NIV).
- When we cry out to the Lord, He hears us; He delivers us from our troubles (Psalm 34:17).
- When we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7).
- “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 NIV).
“Certainly, Christ made God’s many promises come true. For that reason, because of our message, people also honor God by saying, ‘Amen!’” (2 Corinthians 1:20 GW).
Thank God for the promises He’s already fulfilled for you, and praise Him for those to come.
Praise God for His faithfulness and love.
