Day 300: All In

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. –2 Corinthians 1:21-22 NIV

Do you trust that God’s will for your life is the best choice for you? Can you surrender all to God and put your life totally into His hands? Jesus set the ultimate example. When facing death on the Cross, He prayed to his Father, “not as I will, but as you will” (Matthew 26:39 NIV). When God says “no” to your plans and desires, He is saying yes to the greater good. Surrendering all to God involves seeking His will, drawing close to Him through prayer, reading His Word, meditating with Him, and allowing God to channel His strength through you. In this way you can begin to accomplish His true purpose for your life. The more you surrender to His will and the closer you draw to Him, the greater His presence will fill your heart and thoughts. Apostle Paul exhorts each of us to focus our attention on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8 NIV). God’s ability to use you for His purpose will be greatly advanced when you commit in your heart to go “all in” on His ways, words, and will.
