And Watch for Fire to Descend, Part 3

Every morning you’ll hear me at it again. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on your altar and watch for fire to descend. –Psalm 5:3 MSG

…and watch for fire to descend. You just laid the pieces of your life on God’s altar but you weren’t really expecting fire. Not really. That would certainly take care of all those needs—they’d be gone, up-in-smoke gone. Is that the point, that God can consume all the troubles, all the distress, if you let Him? First Peter 5:7 (NLT) says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.”…and watch…what, right now? Yes, you’re looking for God to show up, now. You’re not dumping your stuff on Him just to be making noise or for show. You’re coming, waiting actively, watching for His divine intervention. Wow, Father. The things You have to say to us are amazing! Would You please help me to come to You daily with all the pieces of my life? And help me to be actively looking, watching for Your intervention.
