Best Day Ever

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. –Romans 8:28 NIV

Every day can be, “The best day ever!” It may not go the way we thought, hoped, or dreamed it would, but perhaps it went the way it should’ve gone. We’re told in Scripture that all things work together for our good. So if our day doesn’t go according to our plans, perhaps it’s because it’s going according to His. Someone offended us—maybe it was because we needed to learn more about mercy. Someone hurt us—maybe we needed to learn to extend grace. We were disappointed—maybe we needed to learn how to submit to His will and not demand ours. When we lose something, it’s a reminder that we are found in Christ. Your life is not a mistake; your days were planned before you were even a twinkle in your mother’s eye. Nothing is ever wasted no matter how it may seem. Every day IS the best day ever when we realize that no matter what’s going on, good or bad, it will be used for our good. Love always wins; so if God is for us, who can be against us? Nothing can destroy us because we belong to the Father. Best day ever indeed!

prayer focuses

Look for the good in every day, and use the bad to become better.

Determine to have a good day, for hidden in it is joy. Is it one of those days when nothing’s going right? Ask the Holy Spirit to help you find a reason to be grateful. He will.
