“This is not good!” Moses’ father-in-law exclaimed. “You’re going to wear yourself out—and the people, too. This job is too heavy a burden for you to handle all by yourself.” –Exodus 18:17-18 NLT
Do you try to do things on your own, thinking you don’t need support from others? That was not God’s intention when He created you. He says in Matthew 18:20 (NIV), “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” It is a joy to join with others in worship and fellowship. Praying and caring for one another is essential for spiritual growth. You were born into a family. You need to be surrounded by loving support through your lifetime—laughing together, crying together, and being there for each other. Life’s burdens become easier when they are shared. Don’t become worn out like Moses—trying to handle circumstances on your own. Remember, we are better together.
Thank God for the people in your life who love, care for, and support you.
Pray that you will be sensitive to others’ needs.
