Day 206:Bible Duo – Joshua and Caleb

I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? –Jeremiah 32:27 NIV

An eleven-day journey turned into a forty-year lap around a mountain because the children of Israel murmured and complained. God sent food—the angel’s bread, but they wanted meat. He produced water out of a rock, their clothes never wore out, and He met their every need daily. Yet, they were never satisfied.Moses sent twelve spies into the land to bring back a report. Ten came back saying, “There are giants in the land, we can’t beat them. We have come all this way to die in the desert. We are like grasshoppers in their sight.” But two, Joshua and Caleb, came back excited. “Yes, they’re big, yes they’re strong, but we have come in the power of the Lord. We can beat the giants in the land.” Those who murmured and were over the age of twenty never entered Canaan. Even Moses himself only saw it from a distance. But the men who proclaimed that the giants could be beaten—they entered and captured it all.Jeremiah 32:27 asks the question, is anything too hard for the Lord? Are you a murmurer or an overcomer? Joshua and Caleb knew the secret; they were a can-do duo.

Listen to what you say.

Are you complaining or praising? There’s power in praise. Pray for a can-do spirit. We can do all things through Christ.
