Christ’s Campaign

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. –2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

Over the past year the media has bombarded us with news concerning the upcoming presidential election. Based on what is told, you could easily become overwhelmed and discouraged. However, when you realize that God has everything under control and your future is secure in His hands, you can veto the tension that builds.Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we live by faith, not by sight.” You don’t know who the next president will be, but God does. He knows the beginning from the end. When you feel the temptation to despair from all the negativity, trust that God’s perfect will shall prevail.Remember, the Lord is working all things for His purpose and plan. Be grateful that you have been elected to be part of Christ’s campaign. What is seen and done in the here and now is temporal, but what is yet to come when Christ returns in His full glory is eternal. When the Lord’s campaign comes to full completion, the government will rest upon His shoulders. All things will come into order and peace will reign forever more. There is no better place for you to be than on God’s winning side.
