…Again you will take up your timbrels and go out to dance with the joyful. –Jeremiah 31:4 NIV
Have you ever walked into a church service where everyone looked as though it was painful to be there? By contrast, have you ever experienced a worship service where everyone looked like they were enjoying worship? The difference is in the heart of the worshipers. John 4:23 (NLT) says, “But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.” God is looking for those who are running after Him. Jeremiah 31:4 says when your heart is so full because of God’s love and victory in your life, you can’t help but express it among the joyful—whatever that looks like for you.Maybe today you are struggling just to get out of bed because the world has hurt you deeply. No matter what’s going on in your life, turn on some music and worship your Father, anyway. Invite the Holy Spirit to come; and as you worship your Father in spirit and in truth, you may find that you can’t help but express it through singing, dancing, lifting your arms, or even weeping at His feet.
Ask God to give you a heart that is strong after Him.
Ask Holy Spirit to fill you up and help you worship, regardless of your circumstances.
