Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. –Psalm 95:1 NIV
In the gospel of Luke chapter 17, there is a story about ten lepers. Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem when He was met by ten men who were suffering from leprosy. When they saw him, they cried out for Jesus to have mercy on them. Jesus told them to go show themselves to the priest; and as they went, they were instantly healed. One of them realized that he was healed and turned back praising God and fell at the feet of Jesus (Luke 17:15-16).Jesus asked the Samaritan, “Where are the other nine?” Only one went back to thank Jesus. In times of excitement, it is easy to overlook a blessing and forget to be thankful. We must be intentional about thanking the One who blesses us.It is important to remember what God has done in our lives and always be grateful. May we never be like the nine lepers who forgot who healed them. Whatever our circumstances we need to count our blessings and thank God for every one of them.
Each morning when you open your eyes, be thankful—life is a gift.
Thank the Lord for all He has done and all He will do. He is faithful in every season of life.
