Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. –Matthew 6:8 NIV
Years ago there was a radio and television program called, “Father Knows Best.” Viewers lived life with the Anderson family, where every tragedy was solved in thirty minutes or less. The Anderson family all loved each other. Mom stayed home with the kids, Dad went to work, and they lived happily ever after. Unfortunately, it was not a very real picture of life.We all go through tough times. John 16:33 (NIV) says, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” When going through tough times, we often feel like we’re out of control and helpless. Yet, if we listen, we will hear a small quiet voice asking, “Do you trust Me?” It’s often only when we come to the end of ourselves that we find the One who is greater than ourselves. Where our efforts end, His are just beginning. We may not understand the whys of life, but when we trust the WHO, we find peace that passes all understanding. God has a plan for us, our lives are not accidents or coincidences. Trust that He has everything under control. Father God always knows best.
When you find yourself worried, STOP! Ask yourself, who am I trusting? If it’s not your heavenly Father, why not? Cast your cares on Him.
Life can be very messy, but the Father knows how to clean it up. Trust Him with all your heart, for He loves and cares for you.
