Feeling Abandoned

The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. –Psalm 9:9 NLT

On the outside, we may look and act like everything is fine, but inside is a very different story. We may feel abandoned by God. We are broken vessels needing the one Person who can change everything—Jesus. When we feel hopeless and feel that nothing good can come out of our circumstances, we must not let grief paralyze us. We need to depend on God. We have to draw our thoughts upward, especially when we are overwhelmed. When life is heavy, our hearts and minds can get heavy too. He already knows exactly what we are facing, and He also knows the outcome.God continues to work even when we face our most difficult seasons. We all experience hardships in life; but regardless of what we face, we are never abandoned by God. The love of God is greater than the pain of our hidden hurts. God can bring joy and peace, even when we feel helpless. Psalm 30:2 (NIV) says, “Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” He is waiting to heal all our hurts and pains.
