Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. –Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV
In this time in history, there can be a feeling of hopelessness. Praying is the most important thing you can do, but it is hard to concentrate with all the information and news alerts. The Lord is the only Light who can shine in this current darkness. When hopeless thoughts come, take them captive. Don’t let them take hold of you. Look to the Light. Take your thoughts and give them to God. This is your best release. Think about what God tells you—He tells you that you are never alone and He is with you. He tells you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14). Isaiah 40:28 (NASB) explains, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.” God will take care of this chaos, in His perfect time. Until then, encourage one another, and don’t be foolish but listen to those with godly wisdom. This too shall pass!
Nothing is hopeless when you trust in God.
God remains the same—He is with us always.
