Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. –Psalm 62:5 NLT
It can be very difficult when you wait for an answer to prayer. Sometimes answers come quickly and other times they don’t. During the times of waiting you may not understand and question why. Don’t underestimate the power of God to answer prayer. The timing is not in your control. However, your trust and His timing work side by side. Don’t put an emphasis on the length of time it takes. Remember, God hears every cry prayed in faith and in accordance with His will. Sometimes the waiting is to stretch your faith. Other times your prayers don’t fit with His purpose for your life. When others receive answers before you do, don’t get discouraged. Psalm 37:7 (NIV) says, “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” Your heavenly Father longs for you to trust in His faithfulness. You will be amazed at the Lord’s goodness and love. Remember Isaiah 64:4 (NLT): “For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”
Trust God. He will always be faithful and hear all your petitions that you set before Him.
His timing is different from yours—but He never forgets you.
