Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. –Psalm 25:5 NIV
Don’t be fearful of your emotions. Shame, guilt, regret, pride, and anger may rise within you; stop and name the emotion. As Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NIV) says, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” Remember, Satan sets traps every day for you to fail. Don’t let him have the upper hand. Emotions lead to unclear thinking and it becomes hard not to react. When you are being filled with anxiety, remember it’s not from God. Exodus 14:14 (NIV) reminds you, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” God knows the beginning and the end, and He knows you are in a sin-filled world. Try to remember He is standing in the fire with you. So, name it— give your emotions directly to God and ask for His peace and forgiveness. He did not come to condemn you but to save you. He looks at you with eyes of love
Ask God to guard your mind and not let you be deceived by Satan’s lies.
Ask Holy Spirit to help you take your thoughts captive so they line up with God’s Word.
