Day 329: God Is More Than Enough

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. –2 Corinthians 4:16 ESV

God is bigger than any circumstance, whether it be disease, a  broken relationship, financial or natural disaster, and any and every other  thing. God wants us to stop striving and instead surrender to Him. Although  it’s easy to forget, it is His will we are to want, not ours. God cares so  much about every detail of our lives. He carries those burdens we’ve handed  Him, even while we are sleeping. We can be renewed each and every day by  doing life with God. He is a relational God, not a task on a to-do list. If  we’re not careful, we can easily start compartmentalizing God instead of  having a relationship with Him.    If we are short on time, we can start asking before doing: 1) Is it  necessary? 2) Is it fruitful? If both are a no, why are we doing it? As we  start asking God about our daily rhythm and putting Him first in that and  every other area of our lives, He becomes bigger and our mountains get  smaller. We become more Spirit-led and less flesh-led.
