God’s Grace

The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. –1 Timothy 1:14 NIV

Are you facing loss today? When darkness comes to your door, whether it be death, divorce, betrayal, or any other form, it is always excruciatingly painful and often life changing. It is not your circumstances but what you do with those circumstances that define the quality and direction of your life moving forward. God promises in Isaiah 43:2 (NIV), “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”Note Isaiah says, “when.” Sooner or later, you will face sorrow and loss. There is no painless way through hard times. When we lean into Jesus, know that in the midst of suffering we can look for and expect to experience God’s grace one day at a time.We come out on the other side with spiritual depth, a new-found compassion for the hurting, and a genuine appreciation for the simple blessings He provides every day. His grace is sufficient.
