Day 301: He Knows and Understands

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. –Hebrews 4:15 NKJV

The song “The More I Seek You” by Kari Jobe is beautiful and full of truth. Are you seeking God’s truth? Maybe you think He doesn’t understand what you’re going through. Know this—Jesus loves you so much that He left His heavenly home to live among us.He not only teaches us through His Word, the Bible, He also experienced everything we experience while He was on earth. Therefore, He understand your pain, your fear, and your failures and temptations. He experienced those pains firsthand while on the Cross. As for fear, He asked the Father to remove the cup from Him in Mark 14:36, knowing that His crucifixion would be excruciating. Jesus was let down by His friends when they couldn’t even keep watch and stay awake in the Garden of Gethsemane while He went off to pray. He also experienced rejection by Peter, one of His dearest friends. And He was tempted several times in the wilderness. Jesus truly understands your situation because He experienced it firsthand. Trust Him to carry you through it all.
