He Sees You!

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them. –Matthew 5:1-2 NIV

The familiar verses in Matthew 5:3-10 were part of Jesus’ teaching on a hill in northern Israel. They are referred to as The Beatitudes. Jesus’ sermon was reaching many different people and seeing right into the hearts of the crowd. He knew every issue of their life. He knew those with depression, mourning, broken hearts and knew every thought they were thinking while listening to His words. Each Beatitude that He spoke was spoken with love and compassion. Take time to reread The Beatitudes and meditate on them: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”(Matthew 5:3-10 NIV). This truly describes God’s love—a love that will never let go.
