If You Love Me

Break in, God, and break up this fight; if you love me at all, get me out of here…. –Psalm 6:4 MSG

“if you love me at all…” How many times have you said that phrase, or at least thought: “Prove that you love me, don’t just say that you love me, prove it, live it.” The only one who can do that, time after time, always and forever, is God. He is always there, not only saying that He loves you, but also showing it. And in the crucible—the wrecked moments, the moments when you’re utterly desolated—is where God shines.Friends may desert you or they may simply not be available, but not God. He is always there, always available. Psalm 34:18 (NLT) says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” Ahh, that’s the kind of love you crave and need! Father, thank You for always being there, thank You that there’s never a moment when You are away from me or unavailable. What a gift! Jesus, please help me to begin to know how wide, and how deep, and how high Your love is for me. I love You (John 3:16; Ephesians 3:18-19).
