Let All That I Am – Part 2

[God] forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. –Psalm 103:3-4 NIV

I find it all too easy to forget the good things God does for me. I get bored, unmotivated, frustrated. Life seems to be out of control right now, so it’s easy to allow my focus to be on the nots or cannots. And then I remember the good things God does for me.This year we especially want to focus on the “heals all your diseases” part of today’s verse, but I was struck by the other parts as well: ALL my sin has been forgiven. I was in a pit and then rescued. I have been crowned with love and compassion—you have too! And those are just what’s listed in these verses! “Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you have planned for us...” (Psalm 40:5 NIV).No wonder Psalm 103:1 (NLT) begins with the declaration, “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.”As we walk these uncomfortable days, let’s choose to fill our hearts with the wonder of who God is and offer unending praise for the things He has done for us!
